Hue sync xbox3/31/2023 Even if the main Hue app is set up, you have to set this one up independently. Firstly, it requires setup through the box itself. Random issues aren’t uncommon, but what’s perhaps even more annoying are quirks within the Hue Sync app. It’s a killer addition to an entertainment area, but it’s also quite fickle at times. Whether it’s a Chromecast, game console, or anything else that plugs in via HDMI, you can sync the lights in your home to match. The Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync box is a $250 device ( $190 refurbished) that lets you sync your Hue lighting with HDMI devices. It’s been a wonderful upgrade, but one thing I noticed was that it also reached the Hue Play Sync box from Philips. Google started rolling TV controls out to the Home app in late 2022 and officially launched the functionality about a month ago. If you happen to own a Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync box, Google Home also just became the best app you can use for quick controls.ĩto5Google has a rebooted newsletter that highlights the biggest Google stories with added commentary and other tidbits. If it's not atmos 5.1 shows up a Multichannel PCM 5.1, or Stereo PCM if you have YouTube TV (sigh, it's still 2 channel only). The Google Home app has been undergoing a reinvention in over the past year, and one of the best new features is improved control over TV devices. I have atmos on Amazon Prime, Netflix (Premier plan only), and HBO Max confirmed on the S2 app. The firmware I have on the arcana is 0.82 v2 which is not on their website. They had newer firmware that worked with the current Sonos ARC firmware v.13.1. I set the scaler function on the Arcana to match my displays max resolution.Īlso important is to visit the DISCORD HD Fury support channel. Video to the TV HDMI1(ARC) input, and e-ARC to the Sonos ARC. I ended up with this chain.ĪppleTV 4K -> Lumagen Video Processor/Switcher -> HD Fury Arcana. I had to get a HD Fury Arcana device for the Sonos ARC to get e-arc to it. In my case my video processor/switcher didn't report the proper EDID codes to tell the AppleTV Atmos is ok. If you don't see that then it is the device the AppleTV plugs into not reporting the proper EDID signals or your HDMI cable isn't in spec. On the same screen is when you would normally see ATMOS available on your AppleTV. I can tell you that you need AppleTV set to "AUTO" for default audio format. I have an older LG TV with arc, AppleTV 4K, and a Lumagen Radiance Pro. Would really appreciate any help as to what I am doing wrong? What else should I check?Ĭlick to expand.I know this is old. I tried Disney+ and Netflix from the Apple TV and neither provided me with the Atmos sound. It does say along side for this setting that States Dolby Atmos is supported when this option is selected (Dolby Digital+) but I can’t select it as mentioned before.ĭolby Atmos Compatibility: is checked as enabled.Īs a reminder I don’t have an audio receiver. Under settings > sounds > expert settings.ĭigital Output Audio: set as PCM and I am unable to select either Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital+ as these are both gray out. Review of settings for sounds for the TV: I do have the app tv connected to HDMI port 4.Īs mentioned above HDMI cable runs from tv HDMI 4 / Arc to the Sonos Arc. Which makes sense because I am not sending a Arc signal through it (as I am not using a audio receiver) Under advanced settings every time I click on enable arc bypass it automatically shuts off or rather disabled automatically. I have set that to to change format off which essentially makes this automatic. I don’t see any mention about immersive sound settings etc. If on, I only can see stereo and Dolby Digital 5.1. Under volume setting has change format on/off. All HDMI cables are new and meet the following specs:ĤK HDR HDMI Cable HDMI 2.0 18Gbps, Supports 4K 120Hz, 4K 60Hz(4:4:4, HDR10, ARC, HDCP 2.2) 1440p 144Hz, High Speed Ultra HD Cord, 26AWG All devices are up to date from a software perspective. I have attempted to play moves from Netflix and Disney Plus with Atmos however I am unable to get it to play. I have my devices connected as follows: Apple TV> Hue Sync (port 4)> Samsung TV (HDMI port 1 with Input Signal plus turned on, I think that is considered enhanced) > Samsung TV (HDMI port 4 / Arc)> to Sonos Arc. Sonos Arc / Hue Sync Box / Apple TV4K / Samsung Q7DR and Dolby Atmos
